The auction offers artists such as Gustave Le Gray, one of the most sought-after photographers of the 19th century
will be included. His impressive city panorama “Pont du Carrousel, vue du Pont Royal,
Paris”, was created around 1859 (EUR 10,000–15,000). Another highlight will be offered in our
Selected Works auction by the recently departed American photographer Peter Beard,
“Elephant and Kilimanjaro” from 1984/2005 (EUR 100,000–150,000). Our Photography auction
will also feature two other eye-catching trouvailles. The “Givenchy Hat for ´Jardin des
Modes´” (Paris 1958) by Frank Horvart combines fashion history with the spirit of the epoch
(EUR 12,000-15,000). And we are pleased to offer an artwork from one of the most important
German photographers in history, Germaine Krull’s “Daretha [Dorothea] Albu. Kostümentwurf: Lotte Pritzel” from around 1925 (EUR 3,000–5,000).
Die Auktion präsentiert mit Gustave Le Gray einen der heute begehrtesten Fotografen des 19. Jahrhunderts. Das imposante Stadtpanorama „Pont du Carrousel, vue du Pont Royal, Paris“, ist um 1859 enstanden (EUR 10.000–15.000). Ein weiteres Highlight kommt ebenfalls in unserer Auktion „Ausgewählte Werke“ zum Aufruf, es ist die Arbeit „Elephant and Kilimanjaro (1984/2005) des kürzlich verstorbenen amerikanischen Fotografen Peter Beard (EUR 100.000– 150.000) Mit zwei weiteren aufmerksamkeitsstarken Trouvaillen kann auch unsere Auktion „Photographie“ aufwarten. Der „Givenchy Hat for ´Jardin des Modes´“ (Paris 1958) von Frank Horvart vereint Modegeschichte und den Esprit der Zeit (EUR 12.000-15.000). Und mit Germaine Krulls „Daretha [Dorothea] Albu. Kostümentwurf: Lotte Pritzel“ (um 1925) dürfen wir eine Arbeit von einer der wichtigsten deutschen Fotografinnen der Geschichte anbieten (EUR 3.000–5.000).
Insgesamt werden an zwei Auktionstagen 666 Kunstwerke mit einer mittleren Gesamtschät- zung von 15 Millionen in 4 Katalogen bei Grisebach angeboten.
Die Vorbesichtigung in Berlin findet vom 17. Juni bis 8. Juli in der Fasanenstraße 25, 27 und 73 statt.
