agnès b. 5 jours à Moscou en 1987
29 October – 13 November 2026,
at Maison agnès b, 17 rue Dieu · Paris 10e
opening 2 November at 6pm
In 1987, agnès b. spent five days in Moscow, then the Soviet capital, alongside ELLE journalist Philippe Trétiack. Armed with her analogue Nikon, she photographed the city's everyday life: children, shopkeepers, passersby, faces, and clothing. Born almost spontaneously alongside her ELLE assignment, these black-and-white and colour images capture a curious, attentive gaze on an era just a few years before the Soviet Union's dissolution.
Alexandra CATIERE, Salve
4 – 28 November 2026
at Rotonde Balzac, Fondation des Artistes, Hôtel Salomon de Rothschild, 11 rue Berryer · Paris 8e
opening 4 November at 5pm
Photo Days presents the laureate of its first Open Call on Balzac & wine, Alexandra Catiere. This new series titled SALVE, is inspired by Balzac's Eugénie Grandet, drawing on the romantic ritual of gazing at the sky at a set hour. Catiere photographs the evening sky at 9 PM, blending analog techniques to evoke memory and connection. A 2026 Prix Niépce laureate, Catiere invites visitors to raise a glass, look up, and photograph the sky in dedication to their loved ones.
Catherine BALET, Looking for the Masters
3 – 30 November 2026, at Sorbonne Artgallery, 12 place du Panthéon, Paris 5e
opening 5 November at 6:30pm
Photo Days and Sorbonne Artgallery invite the curator Aline Pujo to present Catherine Balet and her series Looking for the Masters. Reinterpreting iconic portraits with her muse, seventy-year-old Ricardo Martinez Paz, she builds a fictional museum begun in 2013. Nine new prints now honor long-overlooked female photographers. From Man Ray to Robert Capa, Doisneau, and Grete Stern, the works question the notion of masterpiece in the digital age — blending erudition, subversion, and humor in a playfully destabilising tribute to photography's great figures.
Thomas KLOTZ, Révélation
2 – 30 November 2026
at Chapelle Saint-Vincent-de-Paul 95 rue de Sèvres · Paris 6e
opening 6 November at 6pm
For our first collaboration with the Saint-Vincent-de-Paul Chapel facing the Bon Marché, we present Thomas Klotz’s Révélation. Created over several months within the chapel of the Miraculous Medal and its community, the series explores the dialogue between religious imagery and the photographic act. Shot on large-format colour camera, the work strips away artifice in search of interiority and stillness, questioning whether photography can find a place within the sacred.
Véronique ELLENA, Mains d’œuvre
19 September – 19 December 2026, as part of Reseaux LUX’s festivals exhibition
at Maison des arts et de la culture de Créteil, Place Salvador Allende · Créteil (94)
artist present 14 November at 3pm
As part of the 200 LUX exhibition, Photo Days – in collaboration with Le Hangar (Bruxelles)– presents Véronique Ellena’s Mains d’œuvre, a series exploring the world of apprentices, craftspeople, and manual workers. At a vocational training centre in Bourg-en-Bresse, Ellena observes gestures being learned, repeated, and passed on. In workshops that are both functional and alive, tools and objects become part of a process of making, learning, and transformation.
Through luminous, timeless images, the artist reveals the quiet beauty and dignity of manual work, highlighting those whose essential skills and gestures help shape our world.
