A free and anonymous monument // Vapaa ja anonyymi monumentti
Stills from A Free and Anonymous Monument, BALTIC, 2003 A multi-screen film installation

Jane + Louise Wilson (s. 1967 in Newcastle) work together on video installations and photographs which explore the relationship between people and architectural space, in particular spaces that are concealed, hidden or forgotten. A Free and Anonymous Monument is a video installation shown on several screens which examines the process of reinvention undergone by former industrial areas in North East England through the use of architecture and town planning. The exhibition is produced by BALTIC, The Centre for Contemporary Art, Gateshead and it is part of the exhibition exchange cooperation of five museums participating in the Culture 2000 - Visual Community Network.

Näyttelyn on tuottanut BALTIC, The Centre for Contemporary Art, Gateshead. Näyttely on osa viiden Kulttuuri 2000 - Visual Community Network –projektiin kuuluvan museon näyttelyvaihtoyhteistyötä.
