This year’s Biennale Photobook Exhibition showcases 97 photobooks and 48 original artworks by 94 international artists. The participating artists include Kathleen ALISCH (Germany), Rebekka DEUBNER (France–Germany), Goseong (South Korea), Letizia LE FUR (France), and Jack WHITEFIELD (United Kingdom), among others.
The publications selected for this year’s photobook exhibition carry a significance beyond that of mere printed matter, functioning as a living space where images, production materials, and narratives interact. Curator Alan Eglinton explains that this year’s exhibition seeks to move beyond the format of the book by presenting original works by international artists in the form of prints and “sculptural” objects. The interplay between the printed page and other media resonates with the biennale’s central themes of interconnectedness, reciprocity, and care.
