Surprise Urban Discoveries

Born in Yangjiang, (Guangdong Province) in 1970, graduated from the printmaking department of the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts in 1992. Zheng Guogu has been known since mid-1990s for his experimental photography, scrolls and installation. The artist has participated in the Documenta 12, Kassel (2007).

Other important exhibitions include: "Between Past and Future: New Photography and Video From China", ICP International Center of Photography, New York (2004); "The 50th Venice Biennale: Canton Express", Venice (2003); "Shanghai Biennale", Shanghai Art Museum (2002) and "Hot Pot", Kunstnernes Hus, Oslo, Norway (2001).
