Kunsthaus Lempertz has been in existence for more than 150 years; it is not only the oldest German auction house, but one of the oldest family-owned in the world. Integrity, expertise, experience, and knowledgeable and qualified experts have established a tradition unparalleled in over 150 years. Auctions are held twice a year in May/ June and November/December of Old Master paintings, Decorative Arts, Modern and Contemporary Art, East Asian Art, as well as Photography. The catalogues that are distributed worldwide and the bulletin published after the auctions inform about our competence. In general, previews are held one week prior to the auctions at our headquarters in Cologne; a selection of works having been shown previsously at our representatives.
